2. Processing of personal data and the purposes of processing

a) Web hosting

For the provision of this website, we use the web hosting services like Azure, ElephantSQL and Vercel. 

A web hosting service is required to offer a website. The use of the abbreviation of the web hosting service takes place in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit.f GDPR due to our legitimate economic interest in making our offer available on this website. In connection with hosting, the Abbreviation of the web hosting service processes personal data on our behalf that is generated when the website is used.

We have concluded with these service providers a job processing contract. With this contract, the service provider ensures that it processes the data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and that the rights of the data subject are protected.

b) When you visit the website

You can visit the website www.recorem.com without having to disclose any of your personal information or identity. The browser used on your device only automatically sends information to the server on our website (e.g. date and time of access, name and URL of the file accessed, browser type and version, website from which the access was made (referrer URL)).

This also includes the IP address of your requesting device. This is temporarily stored in a so-called log file and automatically deleted after 4 weeks:

The processing of the IP address takes place for technical and administrative purposes of the connection establishment and stability, in order to guarantee the security and functionality of our website and to be able to trace any illegal attacks on it if necessary.

The legal basis for processing the IP address is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit.f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the security interest mentioned and the need for trouble-free provision of our website.

We cannot draw any direct conclusions about your identity from processing the IP address in the log file.

c) When registering to our newsletter

Pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 item a DSGVO have expressly agreed, we use your e-mail address  to regularly send our newsletter for. It is sufficient to provide an email address to receive the newsletter.

How We Share Personal Information

To accomplish the purposes set out above, we may share your Personal Information with other parties that may include the following:

  • Event Producers/Organizers/Event platforms that produce and host virtual events and use the Recorem Platform, when you register to attend their events;

  • Speakers and Hiring Companies who attend the same event, when you attend events that are hosted and use the Recorem Platform and apply for a particular job the resume and other information will be shared to the respective company or recruiter. When a company posts a job description it will be shared to the relevant participants for the application process.

  • Service providers that perform services on our behalf and under our direction;

  • Other third parties as necessary to (a) protect or defend our interests and the legal rights or property; (b) protect the rights, interest and safety and security of the Services, our organization, or members of the public; (c) protect against fraud, and (d) investigate and prosecute users who engage in behavior that is illegal or harmful to others or to others’ property;

  • A buyer or other successor or organization in the event of an actual or potential merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, including as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding; and

  • Such other parties, or for such other purposes, as you may authorize or direct when we collect your Personal Information

Note: Recorem enables job discovery in online, onsite and hybrid events. This will give companies and job seekers an option to participate in domestically or internationally organized events and find domestic/international job seekers and domestic/international job opportunities. The company’s and Job seeker’s personal information is not shared with the organizer domestically/ internationally until the user decides to participate in the event. The participating user is responsible to view the event information and read the respective terms and conditions to understand if the event is domestic or international to the particular user. On agreeing to participate in such events, Recorem may consider that action as a consent to share personal and/or transactional details to the corresponding organizer. Job seekers may find/discover domestic and/or international job opportunities in the event but their personal/professional details are not shared with the company unless and until they apply for the corresponding job opportunity.  On applying to jobs in such cases, Recorem may consider that action as a consent to share the job seeker’s personal and professional details to the corresponding company. A company cannot find/view a attendee’s personal/professional information unless and until a attendee applies for the company's job posting during an event.
